Update....Himself has been released from hospital. The test he's had done showed three blockages in three very small arteries. Medication should take care of it. He's been very lucky really as it could have been much worse. When he was having the heart attack he got me to get him an aspirin and was told later that by doing this he saved his own life. Today they are going to do an angiogram to determine how much damage has been done. I've seen this tiny bird (about as big as a nuthatch), going up tree trunks twice this week and by the time I got the camera it was gone. This afternoon coming back from filling one of the feeders there it was again going up a trunk looking for insects. I happened to look out the window and saw what looked like a strange bird over on one of the further feeders. First I thought my eyes were deceiving me but I got the camera anyway. Finally, a sunny day. I've never seen the ground on my property so wet. You can't even step in some of the gardens without going up to your ankles in mud. I've been working at the garden this past couple of days. Thumb is all better thankfully. I don't think we always appreciate how important certain parts of our bodies are to us. For instance our thumbs. Yesterday, with repeated pounding of nails into board with the hammer, I did such damage to my thumb that I haven't been able to move it since. This bird was at the feeders this morning and I can't seem to find out what it is. It looks like an American Goldfinch but they aren't suppose to be here. He seems to like the sunflower seeds best if that's any help.

It's been a busy weekend with the parents here. They arrived on Friday and went back home today. The weather wasn't condusive to doing anything outside like sitting on the deck soaking up the sun, oh no, in fact Saturday morning we had flurries.
